The
HOLD ON Band, founded in 1991 by Gene Doss, is a combination of talented musicians, playing the very
BEST variety of music from the last 40 years of Rock n' Roll - including greats from the 50's and 60's, into Classic Rock
- right through to the current Rock of today. Their diverse approach is why they have such a universal appeal to audiences
of ALL ages.
Each
member brings 25-plus years experience to this group - and it is clear that they have a unique fit and talent
with this combination. They always give a professional, polished and entertaining show!

Gene Doss - LEAD GUITAR/Vocals - Gene has been playing guitar
since he was 15 and is a master chameleon when it comes to Rock. Both on his guitar, and with his voice, he is
one of the most versatile performers in the Midwest. Growing up to Classic Rock, he is also passionate about the
Beatles and their influence on Rock n' Roll, and embraces the current Rock artists, whom he incorporates into the variety
of music the band selects. He DELIVERS for every audience with high energy and great enthusiasm to make each show
special in its own way....once you watch, you'll see what we mean!

Gary Schoonover - GUITAR/Vocals - Gary has been playing in
bands for...shall we say a loooonnnng time, on a variety of instruments. An accomplished drummer
as well, Gary has played with a variety of country, rock and blues groups before joining up with his longtime buddy Gene,
to add rythm guitar to the HOLD ON sound. Gary is our resident "go-to" for country tunes when the requests
arise - and we love his Johnny Cash tributes!

Rob Godfredsen - DRUMS/Vocals - Rob has been playing drums since
he was 10 years old. An extremely talented and versatile drummer, Rob has a knack for a variety of musical styles.
While carrying on his father Al Godfredsen's legacy with his jazz band on occasion, Rob brings his awesome rythmic
style to HOLD ON which is highlighted by his meticulous finish to each and every song - there is no doubt Rock
runs through his veins! Rob also adds a great high-end to the vocal mix, and has a gentle touch to the ballads.

Dan Roby - BASS GUITAR/Vocals - Dan brings a lifetime of musicianship
to HOLD ON. A native of Des Moines, Dan has been playing guitar since he was a kid, and has a true passion a for all
things musical. Dan is an accomplished songwriter as well, having recenlty published on of his songs to a charitable
website, and continues to compose and arrange music whenhe is not restorinig cars in his home garage/studio! Dan brings
the lower-end to the vocal mix and is a Rock N' Roll "encyclopedia" of sorts. He lays donw a mean
bass line and brings his unique props and trinkets to the audience each week!
